What We Do
Stories
Several deserving children who received ACH educational grants share some of their stories with you.

Bereavement Center
ACH opened and operates the only free-standing, comprehensive bereavement center in New York City: A Caring Hand, The Billy Esposito Bereavement Center.  At the Center, children, teens, caregivers, teachers and professionals discover and learn healthy ways of dealing with grief.  The goal of the Bereavement Center is to meet a child and family's needs in a caring environment.  Please click here to learn more about services offered at the Bereavement Center.

Scholarships
ACH grants educational scholarships to children, adolescents and young adults who have experieneced the loss of a parent or legal guardian.  When a caregiver dies, we do not want a child to also lose the opportunity to continue their education.

Past Grants
Prior to opening our own Bereavement Center in New York City, ACH has helped fund several bereavement programs that allowed over 600 children to attend local bereavement programs.  ACH grants also aided grieving children around the world who lost loved ones following the 2004 Tsunami and Hurricane Katrina in 2005.  ACH continues to grant aducationals scholarships to bereaved children in addition to operating its own Bereavement Center.  To learn more about our past grants, please click here.
