A Caring Hand, The Billy Esposito Foundation Hosts its FIRST A Taste of the Perfect Manhattan on March 26, 2003
The first annual “A Taste of the Perfect Manhattan” was held on March 26, 2003 at the Supper Club in New York City and was a HUGE success. Those that attended sampled dishes from 16 of the top restaurants in the city, sampled beverages from a variety of non and alcoholic companies, mingled with a great crowd including Bill O’Reilly and over 20 FORD models, danced the night away to a 9 piece orchestra and participated in an elaborate live and silent auctions as well as our sweepstakes. Freddy Jackson stopped by for a surprise visit to sing a beautiful rendition of “The Greatest Gift of All” to the Esposito family.
Participating restaurants included: Artisinal, Blue Fin, Bobby Van’s Steakhouse, Brasserie 8 1/2, Butternut Bakery Cardinali Bakery, Cite, DeMarco’s Room, Django, Maloney & Porcelli, Manhattan Ocean Club, ONE.c.p.s. Brasserie, Park Avenue Cafe Perona Farms, Smith & Wollensky, The Post House, Brooklyn Ice Cream Factory – The River Cafe and Tribeca Grill.
Over 125 attendees walked away with one of the many amazing auction and sweepstakes items including A Trip for Two to Club Med, sponsored by ClubFONE, multiple sporting ticket packages including opening day tickets to the Mets and Yankees, multiple signed paraphernalia including an Areosmith Drum Cover, Hockey Stick by the NJ Devils and a Chad Pennington game ball.
The evening generated over $200,000 for the organization thanks to all that attended donated and sponsored the event. We have been getting tremendous feedback from the evening and we have already begun preparations for the second annual “A Taste of the Perfect Manhattan” and with plans to make it even better than the first.
