How to Help
Thank you for your interest in volunteering with us at A Caring Hand, The Billy Esposito Foundation and Bereavement Program. We know there are many people in our community with caring hands who believe in our mission. With your help, bereaved families are able to find strength to manage the difficult days and find hope for the joyful ones. Here are the ways you can get involved and help make a difference in their lives. We appreciate and need your time and support of bereaved children and families and recruit volunteers on an ongoing basis throughout the year in the areas listed below.
Our child, teen and caregiver groups are the heart of our program. Our three 11 week group sessions for children age 5-18 and their caregivers are held throughout the year. Families who have completed the 11 week program are invited to attend our next step monthly drop in group on Thursday. All groups are co-facilitated by licensed mental health professionals with trained volunteers. Anyone interested in joining our team can find specific criteria and an application online that can be submitted to email@example.com or by mail.
Board Member, Committee Member, Helper
We are always eager to have enthusiastic and passionate individuals join us in our efforts in whatever capacity fits your life and needs. We invite those interested in joining our board to contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org. We also rely on volunteers to help with A Caring Hand, The Billy Esposito Foundation fundraising activities, annual gala and other board initiatives. Periodically we need extra hands on deck for various other projects throughout the year. The projects range from stuffing envelopes and answering phones to doing outreach in the community. Certainly if you have a particular skill or specific time you would like to help out you should let us know by contacting us at email@example.com.
